Days out

Sometimes as a family you have balance what adults would like with what children will enjoy. So this day was no exception. We were doing d day trip to Wales, a common things as we live in a county that is landlocked, but also borders mid to north Wales.

For our trip we chose the gentle pace of the canals.

As we enjoyed our slow pace of travel the children stood looking out of a hatch at wildlife, other boats or colouring in welsh scenes on the postcard pack we had bought them.

We had afternoon tea (welsh style) by having Bara Brith with our tea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bara_brith

We went over the aqueduct, and then back on a bus to town.

Llangollen is known as a tourist point for several reasons, the canal, the railway, and their festival. http://www.llangollen-railway.co.uk/page.php?id=1
