Christmas cooking

As with lots of times of year, Christmas is a time for being in the kitchen and cooking.

Each year a tradition in my house is to bake mince pies together with my closest friend. This year was no different. Dee has captured this well in her blog post about the mince pies we made. http://deeatthecarlton.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/baking-our-festive-mince-pies.html?m=0

But it doesn't stop there. Homemade cranberry sauce with port has been created.

Firstly add 6oz sugar and 150ml water to a pan and bring to the boil.

Then add 8oz cranberries .

Bring pan back to boil and place lid on till all cranberries have popped.

Then add to your own taste port.

Leave this to cook for a few mins unlisted then leave to cool.
