Family wedding

A family wedding doesn't come up very regularly. Both of my children were excited at the fact. Neither had been to one before.

As with most weddings this was at a venue and not a church. Passionate about photos it was my aim to ensure we as a house court as much as possible in photos. Armed with three cameras we went we saw and we recorded.

I felt the official photographer did little guide and set up photos, from what I could see after the traditional shots of groups of people. But maybe I am just remembering how bossy our own wedding photographer was. Just the little things like putting her flowers in the shot, or taking advantage of the surroundings. The greenery was stunning against a very detailed dress. So I hope to have bridged that with the poses I suggested and took.

Her dress was suited to her figure, which doesn't always happen once someone has an idea in their head. Crystals  on the straps and v line neck, and detailed folds on the dress with nest adding to the train coming from the side of the dress, tiara to match and a matching veil from under the hair curls. Without the veil the impact would not have been the same.

  1. Beautiful photos - some photographers are better than others & have done their homework by visiting the venue to decide on the best backdrops etc & also by educating themselves about the ins & outs of wedding photography which is a specialised field.

Just because someone owns a camera, that does not make them a photographer .....

You did the right thing by just giving a bit of direction ♥
