So after a early start, and a hop skip and jump, down a few motorways we arrived. They left myself and my eldest with the house, the dog and my nephew.
With sun fighting through we set about the garden trying to a bit to help. The garden is about 100 ft long but not too wide. Set into three zones, 1 lawn with flower beds and a pond, 2 lawn with more flowers lining the path that goes throughout the garden, becoming a kids play zone, and 3 wooded area with sheds and a patio area.
So we began by breaking up branches already cut off the trees. Then moving a pile of rubble, which meant we found a visitor in the garden, a snake.
But soon the two monkeys got bored and began climbing the trees.
Then they made masks and planned their own role play restaurant to eat their tea, with cloth flowers and serviettes.
Then ended the day with our bonfire of garden waste.
I think on the whole a good weekend was had by all.
What a lovely thing to do for your sister - am sure she had a lovely break from her normal routine ...

While relooking at your 'snake' I suddenly realised that it was a 'slow worm' - Olive gets those in her garden too ...

They feed on slugs & snails so are a welcome addition to the garden ♥
