Today is a day to celebrate all that is being a woman. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/series/top-100-women
For me there are a few people that have inspired me. So here is my top 5, in no order.
12 May 1820 – 13 August 1910 Florence Nightingale
An inspiration for her pioneering work in nursing during the Crimean War. Making a foundation for the profession of nurses.
12 June 1929 – early March 1945 Annelies Marie Frank
One of the most renowned victim of the Holocaust. A inspiration by the quality of her writing.
13 October 1925 - present Margaret Thatcher
First female prime minister of Britain, and the longest serving in the modern day.
Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu (Mother Teresa) 26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997
Truly a symbol of peace and devotion to others.
Agnes Smyth Baden-Powell 16 December 1858 – 2 June 1945
Most noted for her work in establishing the Girl Guide movement as a female counterpart to her older brother's Scouting movement.
So let's remember,
How did I miss your post? Beautiful - Anne Frank is naturally a strong contender as is Florence Nightingale - two amazing women! Thanks for a lovely read ♥
